Abyssinians are cats with a characteristic V-shaped face and almond-shaped eyes. Each hair on their coat is separated by several different colors along the hair and glitters under the light. There are different theories on where it originated, including Egypt, Ethiopia and England. The proposed origin of the name ‘Abyssinian’ is that, long ago, a British soldier brought the ancestor of the modern Abyssinian back to England from Ethiopia, which was called Abyssinia at the time.
